No PD gait class today so I slept some more. I managed to sleep through the din raised by the road repair crew. They've got trucks, diggers, bulldozers, and other noise makers. I'm amazed I could sleep given the noise levels being created.
Watched a movie with the H's tonight--The Cruise. It's a documentary about a tour guide in New York who provides a unique view of the NY landscape. He is an amazing repository of trivia and esoterica, woven together in his own style and presentation. Since he did the film, he's moved to Kansas City where he operates tours that include stops at well known cafes and eateries.
I dreamed a lot over the past few days. In the dream I was having when I awoke this morning, I was interacting with a woman. She was someone I once encountered while doing Israeli dancing. In the dream, we were at a dance, but she was sitting off be herself and not dancing.
Despite all of the sleeping that I've done today, I'm now tired and ready for the beddy once again. Movement class tomorrow. Praying for the people in Japan!

Hello, I have been reading your blog posts about Yin Tuina in Santa Cruz. Did you stop working with the PD Recovery Team? I was working with someone in the Boston area but he became stuck in partial recovery, I believe, and we no longer work together. I would be grateful if you would share how Yin Tuina helped you.
All my best,
Linda
Hi Linda--
I worked with the PD team 2006-2007. At the end of 2007, I had a severe sleep problem and I started seeing a regular medical team. I began taking medication and had to leave the PD team treatments.
My blog entries for 2006-2007 provide details of working with the PD team. Entries from 2008 onward detail my activities since then.
My experiences with the PD team and their use of FSR, Tuina, and acupuncture was on the whole very positive. I still get an acupressure/tuina session from a local practitioner on about a monthly basis. He is not trained by the PD team, but uses similar techniques. His sessions are the highlight of each month's activities.
If I could afford it (and if the practitioner was available--he now lives out of the area and only returns a few days each month), I would get a treatment every day. It provides a noticeable shift in my energy levels and reduces my symptoms.
I wish you all the best in your journey with PD. I have read through your blog and have learned so much from you about the work of the PD Recovery team and the effect it had on you. I hope that I can help others with PD in the same way that they helped you. Blessings to you,
Linda
Thank you, Linda. May your work with others be healing and joyous! If my experiences can help in any way let me know.
Thank you for your kind offer. All the best to you,
Linda
