Lazy, hazy day! Slept in this morning. I didn't get up and out until about 2pm. It just felt good to sleep, and sleep, and sleep!

Dreamed last night that I had rewritten a script for some kind of technology presentation. The task had been given to a team of people but they couldn't come up with anything coherent and attention getting. I stayed up all night (in the dream) writing and rewriting the various scenarios that the team had identified but had not fleshed out. I came to the morning team meeting tired but hyped up from the work I had done and with what I had produced. In the meeting, we began to do a walkthrough but the team members kept going off on tangents. They took what I had put together and used it as launch points for other ideas. I tried to keep the discussion focused and on track, but it soon became clear that it was hopeless. The team leader didn't do anything to keep things together. The meeting ended with no progress or agreement. I went back to my workspace to try and grab some sleep (perhaps why I slept in so late today).

Watched a SciFi movie--Knowing. It's a science thriller about the end of times. The apocalypse is foretold by a cryptic message left in a time capsule. A scientist gets hold of the paper and cracks the code, but is left with the dilemma of how to tell people about the coming catastrophe in any way that would change the outcome. The movie resolves with aliens coming down and hand-picking children to be taken off planet so that they can be used to seed new worlds. It was a fairly spectacular film with lots of CGI behind many of the scenes. Nicholas Cage is the lead actor and he makes the film move along as he did in the National Treasure franchise.
