Twas the day before Xmas and the sleigh has landed! Toys and baubles everywhere! I was up and down most of the night trying to put my selections under the tree, along with several other elves.

Well, it is done and over here--the action now moves on to other venues. Helter-skelter transforms and spreads. I made it the pastry shop this morning before the ravenous crowds bought up everything.

I dreamed last night that I was with my two sons and they were very young. We had just learned that their mother was walking away from the marriage and taking off for parts unknown. I was left to care for them--and deal with the fallout of her leaving us. At one point, I was realizing that something my youngest son wanted should just be given to him. He wanted something that used to belong to her--but it didn't matter if he now took it for himself. It was a realization that applied across a lot of decisions that I now had to make. I needed to start choosing what was best for us given that she was gone.

In another part of the dream, I was telling someone about a storefront that had been bought by someone who was going to renovate the place. The shop or building had appeared in some earlier dreams--and there was a thread with the place fixed up in the current dream.

Rainy day today--wet and cold! Found out we're having Xmas dinner tomorrow night--on Xmas day! That sounds novel--I think!
