Had an acupressure session this morning. I was experiencing some on-and-off soreness in my right lower back and side. The session disappeared all of those sensations. I had lunch with BH (a feast of sand dabs, potato salad, green salad, an eggplant concoction, some brown rice sushi, papaya, mango and raspberries, and cookies--sounds like a lot, but it was small portions of everything--very satisfying). GH and I watched a DVD of a Brazilian dance ensemble, Grupo Corpo. They are amazing performers and really incredible dancers. Watching them made me want to leap up and dance. We took a break from our Kubrick festival. We'll resume the festival next week. Taking a dance break was fun!

Dreamed last night a shadowy dream about being in some kind of court. Everyone in the court was standing at a long banquet table dressed in elaborate robes. There were two braziers on the table. One was a smaller version of the larger brazier. Each was filled with hot coals and had metal spikes stuck in the coals and arranged in a pattern. The smaller one had the same arrangement as the larger one, but was just scaled down in size. There was some ritual that was to take place using the braziers. I was standing before the assembly of people who stood behind the table. There was a lot of attention focused on the braziers. I'm sure that my reading of stories by Borges is triggering/affecting the content of the dreams. This dream was like a frozen scene in one of his stories.

Rained some today! June showers! The moisture felt good.

Got a phone call tonight from my Dragon friend up in OR. It was good to hear from him. He is busy mentoring kids--helping them get excited about learning!

I watched a Soderbergh film, Oceans 11, tonight. A fun movie! Entertaining! High-powered cast! May get a copy of 13 (I seem to recall that 12 was not so good). Diversions, diversions!
