What went well today:
- Dreamed a detailed dream last night. I was in a town like PA. The main street had been changed radically since I was last there. There were dozens of small shops, cafes, and bistros along the street. Each of the shops were unique and filled with interesting items. BP was showing me around. He took us into a shop that was filled with mobiles and fountains. The shop was well decorated and the items for sale were highlighted in beautiful displays.
- We left that shop and went into a cafe that specialized in tasty sandwiches. The shop keeper was demonstrating how she prepared each sandwich. She had a special bread-cutting device that produced two portions of bread from a fresh-baked loaf. The bread was then covered with a selection of toppings and condiments. The results were elegant to look at and wonderful to eat.
- In a coffee shop, there was a woman working behind the counter that I knew. It was LS, and ex-wife of an old friend of mine. We gave each other a hug and then took our drinks to a table where we could talk. We caught up on what each of us was doing.
- There was scene in the dream where BP and I had gone into a restroom. The walls were covered with chalk drawings. The drawings were depictions of naughty limericks. I pointed this out to BP and decoded one of the limericks. My recitation drew a small crowd. It was curious to me that no one had figured out what the drawings were about.
- I had a delicious (and real) sandwich for my non-dream meal.
- I napped some in the late afternoon after listening to Says You on the radio.
- I managed to survive the day without warm water. The water heaters stopped working for some reason. Luckily, I could get by without them for today.
- Watched a DVD of two episodes of a British mystery serial Smiley's People. It features Alec Guinness as a master spy. The two episodes were very well done. I may look for the rest of the episodes.
- Exchanged DVDs at the library. It was good to get out and about. A beautiful day!
- Felt good today even though I did have a flushing/redness event late in the afternoon.
