Monday, Monday! New Moon time! Went to the H's and we began a new Baker book--The Anthologist. It's a book about a writer who is writing a book about poetry. However, Baker takes us on his many and merry sidetracks along the way while still saying a lot about various poets and poetry. His tongue in some orifice dry humor and intentional murmurings make for a joyous journey. Chapter 1 evoked a lot of laughs from us today. May the remaining chapters do so as well.

Resistance training in the morrow! Thank goodness! I'm achy, stiff and bound up from the lack of classes last week and the coming one. I dreamed last night a complex dream about working on an electronic gadget that merged a collection of digital images into a collage-like image that was mesmerising to anyone who viewed the result. The dream involved building up layers of electronic circuitry that could parse and amend the raw data to make the final image.

Watched a film this evening--Welcome to the Rileys. The somewhat unbelievable story is about a man and wife who try to help a runaway who reminds them of their dead daughter. The husband and wife are estranged over that death and somehow manage to refind each other as they confront the runaway's street life. The film didn't do well at the box office, got so-so reviews on the whole, and probably should have been a TV movie. There are moments, but not many! The $10MM budget could have gone toward something better--like helping the people in NOLA who are still battling the aftermath of Katrina. But what do I know?
