Long day! Went to the H's to complete the reading of Mezzanine (by baker)! We completed the novel with a few final chuckles and a quote from Marcus Aurelius--

How transient and trivial is this mortal life; yesterday a drop of semen, tomorrow a handful of ashes and spice...

I looked up more sayings by Aurelius. I would have liked to have encountered his work earlier in my mortal life. Perhaps I did but don't recall the encounter now. No classes today so day felt long. Movement class tomorrow! Will be good to move and unkink my muscles. I felt achy and tight today (from yesterday's resistance training session). I turned on the heater in the late afternoon and that helped loosen things a bit.

Had a good meal this evening at the CG. I felt that I needed some comfort food and their menu is full of tasty choices. I had fish tacos--delicious red snapper lightly sauteed and stuffed in warm tortillas--with salsa and a spicy tartar dip. Oh, so good! But "transient and trivial" in this mortal life!
