PD dance was a lot of fun today. We were doing a tango step and some African moves. The energy was up and enlivening. The instructor asked me to help with the demonstration of the tango steps. It was really joyous as we made the moves with a lot of expression and flair.
Only experienced a light flushing/turning red episode around midday. Had a grilled cheese sandwich and a salad, which didn't seem to raise any issues. Resistance training session went smoothly. I'm still fading a bit on the presses with 10-lb weights but did them all.
BH was sent home last night after her tests came back clean. GH sounded mellow when I called him this afternoon to check in and see if he needed anything.
Watched a German/Greek film this evening--Soul Kitchen. I enjoyed the film. It was a bit funky in all that it did, but was engaging and occasionally quite funny. The story involves a young Greek man who starts his dream cafe. His girlfriend is off to China and he is split over whether he should give up his cafe and go with her. Meanwhile he has a brother who is just out of jail and is on probation. The younger brother meets a gourmet cook and hires him for the kitchen. The place's menu is not what the chef wants to work with--he wants to rework the whole offering. Trouble ensues as regular customers boycott the place, but new patrons are found in the arts/music arena. The whole film keeps on moving, dodging, and morphing into all kinds of twists and untwists. The whole thing was fun to watch even the ending credits. The director is a young Turkish man who seems to have some association with Kusturica, the Serbian filmmaker who did Arizona Dream. Soul Kitchen had some of the same touches as Dream.
G&B class tomorrow plus a read aloud session with GH. We're getting into the more interesting parts of the book about the creation of the Paris Commune.
