Yesterday, I was playing with the grandkid and her grandmother--we were having pillow fights. At one point, the pillow fighting got old and we started juggling the pillows. I went and got my juggling balls and was showing the grandkid how they were thrown.
I used to know how to juggle--but my coordination has been off since I've been diagnosed with PD. Last night, I was suddenly able to juggle again--I could feel the rhythm and smoothness of the motion. I wonder if the dancing has restored some of the mind/muscle connections that had went away at the onset of the PD symptoms? I'll have to keep practicing and see what happens. It makes sense that dancing might help restore some coordination issues--we shall see!
I went to the gym yesterday and today--it feels good to do the circuit regime on the days when I'm not dancing. Also, I went in around 2pm both days--today there was virtually no one on the circuit with me. I also did 5 minutes on the treadmill today as well. I plan on extending that part of the workout--especially on the device that includes incline adjustments.
I dreamed last night that I was at a transportation depot. I was purchasing a ticket to go somewhere. I think that I had dreamed a version of this dream before last night. I was back in the same place in a second dream because the agent in the first dream had given me an incorrect ticket. Last night, I got the same agent and was explaining to him about the mixup. He was being somewhat defensive and was not being helpful in fixing the problem--which would be give me a corrected replacement ticket. As we sparred back and forth, a woman came out of an office and intervened. She had overheard my explanation and she was the agent's manager. She told him to fix the problem. He was not happy--but she stood looking over his shoulder as he made the corrections. In the end, I had the right ticket and boarded a train to my planned destination.
It's Palm Sunday! Strip those palm fronds and wave them down the aisle!
