Picked up a set of books from the library. Got some stories with more "juice!" I was struggling through the ones I had and didn't want to spend the holidays pushing through dense prose. Got a book by George Saunders, In Persuasion Nation, that is freaky but good. Also a couple of books by Dorothy Gallagher that contain "true stories." The stories are about her life and are actually in the biography section. Some people have lived interesting lives--lives filled with memorable people and events.

I wish I had something interesting and memorable to report. Alas, I do not! My dreams even absconded from last night's dream-a-sode. I think what I dreamed was of interest to me, but I no longer recall the details.

Awoke to heavy rains early this morning. The storms blew through and the some sun peeked out later in the day. Streets are humming! People are busy making last minute purchases as the holiday draws near. Several stores heralding their imminent demise and the final sales as they sink into the financial bogs.

Checked my IRA today. It has recovered some from the downturn. I'm letting it ride. I think it will reset itself in the coming months. Still bought a lottery ticket. That's plan B! Let the dreams begin!
