Busy day! Called Fastrak and found out why they had canceled my toll bridge device. Seems that my inactivity (not going across a bridge in the past year) triggered a cancellation notice (which I don't recall having received) and the device being disabled. They'll send me a check for the balance of my account, but my bridge device can be recycled. So much for that item!

Called the TIAA-CREF people regarding getting a disbursement from that retirement account. Turns out I have to take out the money over a ten-year period. Unfortunately, the annual amount doesn't cover the MRD (minimum required distribution) that the IRS needs. So, I have to also start drawing down on my IRA account. Nothing is ever simple. I'll check with the IRA people tomorrow on how I have to make that happen.

Ordered another batch of medication. The pharmacy was short and couldn't fill the prescription. They promised that it would be ready tomorrow.

Returned some movies and picked up some new ones. Just noticed that I didn't post anything yesterday. I got caught up, last night, in trying to find out if Neruda's home was damaged by the Chilean earthquake. I finally picked up a blog entry in Spanish that I had Google translate. The house was not damaged. I started on this quest after watching the movie The Postman--which involved a character who played Neruda. The Internet is awesome!

Dreamed last night that I was I was gathering information about important things. I was sitting in front of a window (screen) where the information appeared. On one side of the screen was my profile in white. On the other side was my profile in black. The two profiles were making comments about the information and arguing back and forth about what was appearing on the screen. It was like a never-ending debate.

Made it to the movement class tonight. Felt good! I was sort of logy before going, but feel good now that I've been there. Have a PD exercise class tomorrow. Life goes on!
