Mailed in my ballot for the November elections. There were a hoard of propositions with their usual cryptic descriptions and supporting materials. Several involve raising fees or taxes. Not something that looks that likely in the current economic environment. But I'm all voted--results next week.

Watched a biopic tonight about Marta Becket called Amargosa. She's an artist, dancer, musician who settled into the desert area of Death Valley and restored an old performance structure. For several decades she has been restoring the opera house and doing performances there. She came there in her 40s and has stayed on as the driving force behind the restoration of a place where she expresses her artistry and talent. She's now in her 80s and still going! Quite a story of someone who was raised and was successful in New York and gave it all up to pursue a dream.

CW dance class tomorrow. Looks like it will be a rainy, misty day like today. I slept in late and napped in the afternoon as well. Ah, sleep! Can't get enough of that sleepy time stuff!
