Movement class felt good today! Also felt really good to get a tuina session after the movement session. The practitioner has returned from his vacation in Italy. I'm really happy that he's back. My body was definitely missing the tuina activities. Alas, I had to miss the resistance training session this afternoon. Those classes are on hold while the instructor takes some vacation. Will resume those sessions a week from next Tuesday. Will try and do some workouts on my own during this period. Have another tuina session scheduled for next Tuesday. Keep on moving and doing!
Watched a good spy thriller/somewhat SciFi film tonight--Hanna. It's about a genetically modified girl who was raised by her father (perhaps) hidden away from the world. As the story begins, she is about to reenter the world. While in the woods, she is trained to be a deadly killer/survivor. She enters a world she has never experienced and makes her way across the world to meet up with her father. There are plenty of bad people who don't want her father or her to become known to anyone outside a tight group of espionage wackos. And so the story unfolds!
The girl is played by an Irish actor who did a great job in the movie Atonement (when she was 13) and The Lovely Bones. Her name is Saoirse Ronan. Her role in Hanna was physically demanding and she trained for quite some time with the martial arts' forms that were used. She is now only 18--I expect we'll see a lot of her on screen in the coming decade.
Cooler today! Hooray, hooray! Makes you want to play! What can I say? What can I say?
