Had to drag myself through the day. Awoke fairly early and catnapped until it was time to take my morning pill. Then, went back (and forth) to sleep again and got up around 9am. Had some breakfast and began the various rituals (shaving, bathing and so forth) to make ready for the movement class. Came away from that class feeling really logy. Drove over to MV for Chef Liu's general's chicken special. Felt good to eat but left me even more logy--from both the external heat (outside) and the internal heat of the food (Kung Pao style). Came back and napped some more and got up and did some errands (bills, mail, library). Grabbed a green tea latte to amp up my energy levels--it worked--I'm now awake and alert.

Started watching a Canadian/French film--Screaming Man. It's set in Chad during the battles between the military and the rebels. It's actually a very quiet, turgid film with virtually no raising of voices or such. There is a lot of silence in the film--so much so that I had to stop watching and get on with the evening. Will finish tomorrow or later. The short film that was also on the DVD was an enigmatic plod of several people across an unforgiving desert landscape. For one of these people, it was his second abortive attempt to make the trek. After coming back and sitting in silence for a long time with his friends, creditors and family, he starts off on his third attempt to make the trek. The Screaming Man is an extended version of the short piece with a lot of silence segments and failure of people to communicate with each other.

PD dance and resistance class tomorrow. They will help kick start my system since I didn't do that much this week. Next week will be filled (classes, dentist, PCP visit) and no doubt more. It's laundry day on Saturday as well, plus the promise of more heat each day.

Dreamed last night that I was at some kind of gathering. At one point in the ceremonies, I was standing between two women dressed in elaborate silk saris high up on a stage or raised area. There was some sort of ritual going on that was focused on me.
