Amazon deliveries today! They all arrived at the same time--brought to me by the postal service! So for all intents and purposes, my Xmas shopping is done and over with! I still have some wrapping to deal with, but the shopping part is complete.

Weather people are promising a big storm over the next few days. Rain, winds, flooding, and possibly other phenomena! They are forecasting 50+ mph winds! That could topple trees and cause power outages.

I am becoming a major fan of the Dollar Stores. There are so many things available there--each costing one dollar! There are items that cost much more than a dollar in the retail outfits that never are over a dollar in the DS's. And they have unloaded a ton of holiday items onto the shelves--wrapping papers, Xmas-themed items of all types, lights, cards, and on and on. When I go out to pick up anything, my first thought is--can I get it at the DS? For so many household items, it is worth taking a look.
