PD support group (Folsom) today--was generally upbeat and festive. Biggest group I think ever--with lots of info/sharing/singing and such.
I sort of blurred out as we ended--I did not have any food and was feeling wobbly. I went straight to the BBQ place--had a tasty penne/shrimp/garlic bread luncheon. Came home and napped a bit--then back out into the cold wind to run to the bank and go to SBs.
My SB purchase didn't free up on of the SBFL prizes--but I have two characters in both the for life and for a year slots. I get another chance with each drink I buy--and I buy one every day. SB has reduced the number of grand prizes from 15 last year to 5 this year--someone must have done the arithmetic and noted how much the 15 prizes could cost the company.
Cold winds--and warm hearts! The wind is knifing through any clothes I am wearing--the chill factor has to much lower than the actual temperature. The forecasts are showing the high and low being the same--a strange prediction given the effects of the winds.
I apparently slept poorly last night--lots of fragmented segments with supposedly an hour between when I guess I was awake.
I wrapped all of my gifts last night--while I did my laundry. They are hidden away so that the grandkid won't snoop them out before unboxing day--supposedly!
A, MD's caregiver, tried to stop her car when it rolled backward out of her garage--and she got the worse of the battle. The door hit her--and knocked her over. She has a broken rib, cuts, bruises, and a whack on her head--her car backed into a truck, doing damage to both. She was fortunate she didn't get knocked under the wheels--could have been much worse.
Happy solstice--the shortest day and the longest night!
