My FitBit indicates that I'm not sleeping enough--I seem to be napping at various times throughout the day. I nap when I wake up in the morning--and nap in the afternoon. I sleep a bit when I first go to bed--and do so again between 3am and 6am. The total is 5 to 7 hours in a 24 hour period--but not done all together but in fragments. Today, I intentionally just sat in my chair at my afternoon nap time--I ended up sleeping for two hours sitting in the chair.
In the mornings, I wake up around 6am or so--and I take my medication and go back to a solid sleep of about 3 hours. In the period from around 3am to 6am, I seem to sleep for about 2 to 3hours--and I'm often drowsy around lunch time--but often only get a short nap then.
I'm yawning right now--anticipating my time when I usually hit the bed. When I'm in the bed and feeling about ready to fall asleep--I usually start yawning deeply. I also have a few rituals (breath slow down, acupressure applied by grasping the fingers of each hand) that help me transition to sleep--nothing esoteric or elaborate.
I often have to get up and relieve my bladder a couple of times between midnight and morning--which helps fracture sleep into smaller blocks.
Monday Madness has arrived--although it carries the more prosaic title Cyber Monday. Cyber in this case can have two foci--using cyber technology to participate in online sales where anything might be purchased and/or buying up electronic gear or technologic items. In both cases, I'm way behind in getting my holiday gifts--so maybe I'll have to join the maddening crowds and pick up a few items.
