Had lunch with BH (fish/shrimp, potatoes, salad, veggies, dips and dessert). Was a treat!
GH and I watched a Danish film, Celebration, directed by Thomas Vinterberg. It was an astounding work. It was about a family gathering where heinous family secrets are revealed. The film developed an incredible tension as events and secrets were revealed. The director was one of the founders of Dogme 95--a group of filmmakers who proclaimed a style of filming that adheres to certain principles and rules (natural lighting, hand-held cameras, not crediting the director, and so forth).
Celebration is one of the best films I have ever seen. It's difficult to watch, but it's brilliant. We'll see if Vinterberg has more films and perhaps explore other films in the Dogme 95 genre. Very interesting!
I dreamed last night something about "pods." The pods were like small spaceships that were darting about the universe. Each pod contained a child. The pods would sometimes line up, end to end, and zoom across the stars. It was a strange dream--left me in a strange dream state.
