Had a "tea and me" event at my last Rosen Method Movement class today--last until I encounter another class along the way. It was a joyful, touching ending to my 4+ years of going to that class. We did a mini "waltzing" intensive for the across-the-floor part of the class. And, we had tea and cookies before for those who could attend. I will miss this small but warm group! I didn't do much afterward. I got some lunch, slept of a while, went shopping, and finally watched a movie.

I watched an Australian film--Breaker Morant. It was set in the time of the Boer wars around the turn of the 20th century. It was about the trial of some Australian irregulars who had been commissioned to fight the Boers using commando-style tactics, like the Boers were using. In the process of performing their commission, the men committed some atrocities. But, they did so under orders. Even so, they were court marshaled and were put on trial. The narrative in the film is strong and pointed, making points about war, politics, and good versus evil tactics and assumptions. They do not win their freedom despite their lawyer's strong presentation of the fallacies behind the proceedings. Australian films can be gritty and intense and this is one such film.

Did some bagging of clothes to be put into the truck tomorrow. Will do some of that tomorrow morning before heading to my last resistance class in the afternoon. I'll still have three punches on my class card--will give it away to some deserving classmate. And the move begins in earnest! No more classes until I get to Fair Oaks!
