Progress was made today! Still had to take a nap after eating a tasty lunch (RiceThai dish), but managed to cross off several items on my (shrinking) list. Weather cooled down a lot today and that helped keep me moving. Same is promised for the next week or so. I guess Fall is tumbling our way!
It's getting late now. I just spent some time chasing down the clinical trial for the new PD drug formulation (called ODM-101). I wanted to know what levels of medications (Levodopa and Entacapone) they used in the trial in addition to the increased amounts of Carbidopa. After some blurry reading, I managed to extract that they used whatever current levels the people were taking as long as the daily L-Dopa levels were between 400-1400 mg. My daily L-Dopa amount is 450 mg -- on the low end! Have to check with my PD doctor, but I think I'd have to take an extra 30 to 60 mg of Carbidopa 3x a day, to roughly match the clinical trial levels (65 mg and 105 mg). I now take 37.5 mg 3x a day in my current formulation.
Watched a French film this evening--The Big Picture. Title doesn't exactly mesh with the content of the film--the film was a mystery story dealing with photographers. There were a lot of small pictures! It was an interesting story about a man who kills his wife's lover , fakes his own death, and assumes the man's persona (he was a photographer). It turns out, the poser is a talented photographic artist. He soon gets lured into taking photos for pay and eventually is showcased in an exhibit. He can't become famous because he would be discovered as being not dead but also posing as the man he killed. In French film style, the movie ends with things hanging--only an intimation of where the story might continue.
It's late! Can't wait! Have to migrate! To the sleeping gate!
