Movement class today followed by an acupressure session. I was a bit foggy when I finished the movement class but acupressure put me back in balance. The real problem was that I only had a light, early breakfast and no lunch. When I finished the movement class, I went to WF and grabbed some food. Then, after stopping by the pharmacy to pick up a prescription, I had a green tea Frap--that put me on even more of a steady keel. Food is good if not made of wood.
My prescription tablets looked a bit different from the ones I had been getting. After reading through the tech notes, I discovered that the tablets are manufactured in Finland (both the previous pills and the new ones)--supposedly using the same ingredients. However, the new pills come from a different distributor--a company in India! Oh, what a world we weave when we take pills to ease disease! I'm convinced that the pills are the same but just arrive via an alternate pathway.
Watched an action film this evening--Unstoppable. It's a film about a runaway train that threatens to devastate an area of Pennsylvania. Two men, an older more experienced engineer, and a neophyte conductor, work together to stop the runaway while barely avoiding about another half dozen close calls. It's an interesting film in that it almost completely takes place in the engine room of the train. The director used a lot of inter cutting and supposed clips from local media to feed the movement. It's fairly certain from the beginning of the story that the heroes will prevail--and they do with the help of several stuntmen and stand-ins.
Resistance training tomorrow and then several days of knocking off the remaining preparation tasks that I need to do before hitting next week's countdown. I'm starting to nod off as the night wanes. Time to sleep and dream. Oh, yes! I had an interesting dream several nights ago. I was in a class where half the students only spoke French and the other half only spoke English. The instructor was fluent in both languages and could direct conversations in either form. I was in the English-only group.
The subject of the class was legal systems and the law. I found that when a French-speaking student was making a comment or giving an answer that I could understand what he or she was saying. It produced an odd feeling when I listened to some one's French vocalization, either a student's or the teacher's, and I heard what they meant clearly in my head. I still could not respond in French, but I understood what everyone was saying.
