Stayed close to home all day. My daughter is out of town until tomorrow afternoon. So, great-grandmother and I are on our own. Not that I'd be all that effective should there be an emergency, but I'm better than no one on board. And, there's the dog to deal with! We coaxed him out of his hideaway with the use of leftover fried chicken skin. Otherwise, he'd just curl up and never move.
I spent some time looking at how-to videos about hanging pictures. I think I've found a solution! I just need a laser level, a tape measure/ruler, a stud finder, some monkey hooks, a pencil, and some painter's tape. Monkey hooks are designed to be used on wallboard surfaces. They are simple to install and don't do a lot of damage to the wall. I'll go to the hardware store and pick up the needed items--and then mount some pictures! Oh, yeah!
I didn't get to the Pilates class today, but I'll start this weekend of getting on a schedule. The eye surgery is almost two months away--I can't just vegetate until the surgery takes place. I'm already getting a little heavier from eating without exercising. Not where I want to go!
Well, early to bed tonight. I'm reading an interesting set of short stories by Marisa Silver, Babe in Paradise. I discovered today that I can watch streamed movies on my computer--just had to load a plug-in. My daughter is signing up for a service and can connect up to four devices for a single monthly fee. What a deal! Movies galore! Galore-ious movies! Dive into the cinema pool!
I awoke this morning to lots of flashing lights, lots of noise, and what I thought was some kind of disaster in the making. It turned out to be the trash pickup truck which does its duty on Thursday mornings, very early, and very loudly! The house across the way is lit up like a military compound already. The truck's flashing lights only added to the burning brightness. Glad there's only one trash pickup each week!
