Thanksgiving Daze! Went to a Pilates class this morning. Regular-sized class even though it was a holiday. Dedicated people! It felt good to do the class. Stopped and had a turkey sandwich on the way home--had to have something with turkey today--tradition! I think we are having Cornish game hens on our postponed fete this Saturday--think of them as turkeylettes.
Came back and took a nap, and then got up and went looking for a SB's. Had a green tea latte and one of their tasty cinnamon buns. After workout, food, rest, and green tea with treat, I'm feeling good. Pretty stable and quiet. No definite plans for tomorrow (Black Friday) except to not go to any shopping center--although the real crush will take place this evening/tonight/early in the morn.
MD finished reading the Thomas Steinbeck set of short stories, Down to a Soundless Sea. She liked them. I think that they are some of the best short fiction pieces around. The last story in the collection, Sing Fat and the Imperial Duchess of Woo, is a hauntingly memorable piece of writing and story telling. Truly, a master work! We plan on reading his novel, which is mentioned in the short story collection, and is now in print. He may also have other works in print by now.
Dinner time! I think my daughter made a turkey meatball soup. Have to taste the turkey on Thanksgiving Day--tradition!
