Quiet sun day after the Xmas tree extravaganza! People sleeping the tinsel away!

I spent a good part of the morning researching phone options. I think I've come to the conclusion that I don't need a SmartPhone. I only need a phone that does voice and text. I have little need to be using the phone for Internet access while I'm on the move. The trick is--finding a simple, text/voice only option in the flood of higher tech possibilities.

I came across an interesting device--the Snapfon--a cellular phone designed with us seniors in mind. It is not a "smart" phone, but a "dumb" one. It has an extra large font keypad and has special features such as an SOS button. And, it is an extremely low cost option versus the newer technologies. There is some uncertainty about how it gets supported in the mainstream phone networks, but a phone call to them tomorrow should help clear up any questions.

Had a slight difficulty getting to sleep last night and to staying asleep. I had a green tea latte earlier than usual so I thought that there would be less of an influence. Somehow, that didn't happen. I went out for a late breakfast today and downed a latte afterwards. Will see what happens. I took short nap after returning from breakfast and had a flushing episode right before taking my afternoon  medication. Someday, I hope, all of this will make sense.

Tomorrow, the house returns to "normal" (if that word can apply here) as the last holiday visitor "disarrives". Still have New Year events to perturb the balance, but will be much less of an effect than with the ho-ho-ho daze. And then, the New Year begins!
