Winter Solstice! Longest night of the year!

Today, we put up the holiday tree and decorated it and some of the living room. It was a quiet, peaceful time. We also went out to some of the sections that had holiday displays--elaborate decorations that light up the night.

There was one house where you tune your car radio to a specific station and the house decorations produce a synchronized light show set to the rhythm of the music. It's pretty spectacular! A miracle of technology! We were the only car in front of the house for several tunes. We just parked and enjoyed!

And, with my new vision, everything was clear and bright!

I'm zonked out tonight! Didn't nap today.

Grandkid was in good shape today given that she was upchucking last night. She was a bit dialed back though--I think she's bored not being in school. She needs the stimulus of the classroom and other kids--she gets bored with adults only.

My daughter's negotiation of what's happening next week, with people coming and going on all kind of different schedules and with lots of varying agendas, was masterful. She should be politics or foreign affairs. She would be great in such a role.
