Dance class and rain today! It was bright and sunny this morning, but rains returned in the afternoon along with some cooler weather.

After about one hour in dance class, I seemed to fade. I don't know if it involved not eating a heavy meal beforehand, or taking my medications, or if that's just my limit (about 1 hr). We did one dance I really liked, but I stumbled through it. Anyway, it felt good to move and dance--and to see everyone.

I drove to class via a backroad path that took me through some of the ranches out that way. The scenes are bucolic--filled with space, animals, and large plots of land. I need to do more exploration around this area. I've been relatively homebound since I've been here. In 2015, I can do more exploration and experimentation. One thing I can check out is the fishing. The American River practically runs past my doorstep. It is a fish migration route for salmon and steelhead, and is home to other fresh water species. There is also a fair amount of hunting in the area, but I don't think I'll try and rekindle that old skill.
