The jury duty angels are still keeping me unempaneled. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Slow week at the courts it seems.

Rained a bit today! April showers in July!

Was a bit slow in moving about this morning--probably the low pressure system that brought the rain. Feeling logy, but OK. Have acupressure massage scheduled for tomorrow--jury duty permitting! Just had a serving of salmon chowder. It was rich and savory. Will probably take a nap in a bit.

Been reading Farley Mowat's short stories. Interesting insights into life near the arctic circle and the customs and beliefs of the people who once lived there in numbers--before they were decimated by disease and famine. Snow Walker! Legend, myth, and life in the frozen world. His stories have a compassion for the people and their ways. He's written quite a bit of non-fiction--some eco-books.

I've two other story collections that I've not dove into yet. Going to bed times have been erratic over the past few weeks--weather and stuff creating dislocations. Feeling more settled this week. Still napping/sleeping a fair amount. So be it!
