Gait and balance class was a workout today! Lots of extended limbs holding positions for long periods of time and making things burn! Feels good afterward but while it's happening it's a push! Tomorrow get to cool out some with a movement session and an acupressure treatment. I slept for a while this afternoon. Just wanted to get horizontal after the G&B activity.

Started reading Baudelaire's Journals aloud to GH today. There was a preface by Christopher Isherwood, the translator, that set the stage for the introduction and the journals. Interesting collection of brief snapshots of Baudelaire's many faces and talents. Looking forward to reading more.

Watched a German film this evening--Veronica Voss. It's a film about an actress who once was the toast of the town, but who is now aged and not able to command the attention she once did. The film is directed by Fassbinder, who is a renowned but controversial film maker. The piece is surreal, which matches the several subjects of the film--aging, drug addiction, mania, lost fame, suicide, relationships and much more. There are several scenes inside an office/living space/clinic/prison that are amazing. Everything in the those scenes are filmy and cloud-white, as if the place was soft and pillowy--as one might be when on drugs (morphine). Throughout the film there are multiple times when a radio station is playing in the background--playing C&W songs in English. Quirky but effective strangeness!

Movement and acupressure! On my way! On my weigh!
