Hey, hey, hey! It was a rainy day! But there is more at play! What can I say? Had a movement class. It felt good to relax and let go some. Weather was wet and blustery at first but gave way to clouds and sun later in the day.
I stopped by the senior housing place and the good news is -- There are only 6 or 7 people above me in the list! I was 44th when I made my application. They have gone through over 30 people since I applied. That means that I could get a call early next year! I need to begin to prepare for that call! The time has come...!! It will be good to move there and have people around me. I've been in this monk's cell of an apartment for nearly 7 years. I don't know my neighbors and we never interact--except when there is some kind of problem. We do so and then scurry back to our individual places until the next issue arises. I have some dread over moving and doing the paperwork to get the new place--but I'll be better off there and can get on with my daily regimens.
Watched a good movie this evening--Leaves of Grass. It's a black comedy where two twin brothers (both played by Edward Norton and played really well) reunite after years of separation. One brother (the good one) has gone on to become a professor and a respected academic. He did so by shedding his less than notable beginnings. The other brother (the "bad" one) has established a thriving pot farm set up with the latest technologies and botanical science. The good brother is lured back home by the bad brother so he can pull off a scam that involves them trading identities for a few days. The scam is doomed but the film plays it out and brings it to quiet end. Norton's dual role is done well and convincingly. He is quite an actor!
Resistance training tomorrow! And then onwards to laundry weekend and starting up the moving machine!
