Well, all is on track! The apartment looks like no one lives here. It is empty! Very empty! Except for a handful of large items (bed, bookcase, two chairs, work table, couple of lamps), there is nada sitting on the floor. Everything is either already in the truck, in the apartment storage area, or on the shelves in the closets. The cleaners are coming tomorrow (early). I, in fact, have little to do except follow my checklist script over the next few days (clean, pick up trailer, do walk through with landlord, load trailer, haul everything over to Fair Oaks, empty trailer, drop off trailer, and begin settling into new place). It's about 3.5 days of activity, but with big time gaps between events. I will probably take a few naps along the way.
It's been a busy, long day! I think I'll probably head for the bed soon. I've been so efficient packing everything that I didn't keep back anything to read. I took the last set of books and DVDs that I had checked out back to the library today. I can always find something on the Internet (Sudoku, puzzles, games, etc.). Also, my email traffic has been more than normal with PD classmates catching up regarding my departure. I guess there's always something to do--perhaps including doing nothing.
Sounds like a plan!
