Festive fete is past and a repast. There were seven of us. Several people were not feeling all that well. Food was an act of love though and the stuff I brought went over well. There was Egg Nog ice cream, Cool Whip, Ciabatta with Parmesan topping, and a pecan pie. Other foods were beets, salad, yams, Cornish Game Hens, and dressing. Oh, yes! A pumpkin pie made with cream!
I went to Pilates class this morning and then went shopping for the fete items. We ended up not eating until around 2:30 and skipping a meal was noticeable to my system. I'm still not fully fed and settled. Not sure what's happening with all the people still here and stumbling about. It's getting late and a couple of people are still hovering. I thought they were heading home after the fete but not so. Perhaps they are staying the night. If so, there will be people up and about all night.
I've set aside tomorrow to get up to speed on all that I have to do to prepare for the eye surgery and other tasks during December. I didn't get a green tea drink in the afternoon and I think I'm having a small caffeine withdrawal. I went through the afternoon without my usual bridge beverage.
Pilates felt good this morning! I can feel myself getting somewhat stronger. Now, if that were the only thing I had to deal with (exercise)--but life is not that simple! Guess it never will be.
My ex's brother was with us today (is still with us). He had a T-shirt that had a slogan "Life is Simple"--Eat, Sleep and Garden. I asked him if he had a garden. He said he only followed the first two activities. Real life is even simpler!
