3020

99+ and climbing! We (grandkid, ex and I) went to a park that sits on the banks of the American River. We went early and beat the heat and the crowds. It's a picturesque place with lots of wildlife and many walking trails. It's also a prime fishing spot as well. During the salmon season the banks are jammed with hopeful anglers or so I've seen in photographs. The water was pleasant today--cool and refreshing.

I cleaned out the green waste recycle bin today--it contained a really dense compost of grass cuttings that weigh a ton. The recycle truck couldn't empty the bin because its contents had compacted into an immovable, dense clump. I dug out the contents of the bin with the compost and moved some of it into a second bin--hopefully so both can air out and dry some so they can be emptied. If all else fails, I'll dump the contents in the back yard and spread everything there--mulch for the moles!

Got up early this morning--others were up and about. Right now, I'm trying to let an iced green tea latte to spin off the fuzz and haze of the morning's activities--and let the AC keep the place cool and crisp. Not sure that it'll work--I may have to nap some. I know I need to go out and get some dental items from the pharmacy--and a bite of food perhaps. I had a flatbread taco for breakfast/lunch and I need more fuel. Oh, yeah! And take my afternoon medication--I'm running late on that.

Remember! Tomorrow is Memorial Day! Don't forget to remember! And if you can't remember, forget it!
