5400

Heavy day! Only wanted to sleep. Symptoms active. Not sure why--it is what it is!

Dreamed last night, but lost the content. Read last night until midnight.

Will meet with my oldest son and his family for breakfast tomorrow. Tomorrow night is the peak of the meteor showers.

Came across a fascinating site--a chronicle of two people who are sailing for 1000 days without making landfall. Three years on the water, if they survive. (1000days.net) They collided with a tanker when they were only 15 days into the journey. They managed to repair the damage and continue the expedition. They've now been out just over 100 days. They also have a blog of the journey (1000daysatsea.blogspot.com). They are fully wired and can report their daily progress/musings as they go.

He handbuilt the ship--which is itself a work of art. Amazing what the human spirit prompts people to undertake. He's been working on this project since the 1970's. Perseverance squared! God speed to them! May they avoid collisions and have a safe journey!
