Went to the CW line dance class today. It was like a sauna, but glad that I went. Left leg was still giving me some trouble (stiffness, muscle tightness, hip twinges), but I did OK. She reviewed a dance that I hadn't ever done. I stumbled about a little bit. In general though, I did well. Felt good! The fast waltz I have down and it was a joy to dance.

Lunch with BH (green salad, steamed clams simmered in a tomato/veggie sauce with lentils and fresh bread, fresh mangoes in lime juice, and peaches from her tree). Yum! GH and I watched a final movie in the Kubrick festival--Full Metal Jacket. Intense film! Lots of close-up images and action. He really was a master at creating battle scenes. The drill instructor in the film was one of Kubrick's finds. He was a consultant on the film, but was so natural that Kubrick used him in the DI roll--even to the point of allowing him to ad lib instead of being scripted.

Have a PD dance class tomorrow. Heat is down some today. Weekend was brutal!
