Lots of hot today but some winds helped hold the temperatures down a bit. Had a PD dance class this morning that was a lot of fun. The class was small. We did a series of improvisations that just felt good--that sparked the energies and lifted the spirits. I picked up TA and gave him a ride to/from the class. I then went to a resistance training class. That class was better attended but there were still several people not there.
My DSL connection was flaky for most of the day. Late this evening it magically corrected itself and surfing went back to normal.
I watched a strange Japanese film this evening--Woman in the Dunes. It was an odd dream-like tale filled with sex, torture, falling sand that threatened to bury everyone, and a lot of intensity and loud, thunderous taiko drumming background music. There was a Kafkaesque flavor to the entire film. The man and woman that the film focused on were caught in a disintegrating sand trap. They were forced to live at the bottom of the trap, perform meaningless work, and deal with the "neighbors" who appeared at the top of the trap to taunt them, give them rations, and haul away the sand that the couple had gathered.
Laundry day tomorrow! What can I say? It's Laundromat day! Time to make the dirt go away!
