Today continued to be symptom-city! Slept a lot and feeling like I could sleep more--which I will do. Everything is happening in spurts--spurts of energy, spurts of sleep, spurts of tremor, and so on.

Did get out for lunch (DeeDee's) and went for a walk (which felt good). But when I got back, it was horizontal time. Finished the novel Ishmael. Interesting premise, but not sure it was worth a novel-length treatment. It's a story of a gorilla who "wakes up" and tries to teach a few humans what life is all about. Also started reading The Year of Magical Thinking by Joan Didion. Rich work!

Finished Rash's collection of short stories, Chemistry--a great set of tales. Also reading through Diane Lefer's set of stories California Transit. Stories are so stark and real they are difficult to absorb--but well worth the read.

Keep waiting for a shift to happen--a change of energy states. Meanwhile, get pulled back into the same eddies and shifting pools of stasis. Keep searching for the break in the hedgerow, the place where the path branches and I can step free. It will be here! It will come!
