Busy day! Busy busy day! Got up early so I could pick up TA and give him a ride to the PD dance class. Did PD Dance class (with people shooting a video of the action)--we concentrated on the tango. Grabbed a sandwich for lunch and began an on again/off again series of flushing and redness. Did a resistance training session in the afternoon. It felt good to lift the weights. After that class I took TA back to MV and went in for my Tuina/acupressure session. I felt somewhat frayed and frenetic by the time I got on the table, but the session smoothed things out. I came away feeling better and with my energy smoothed out. Picked up a few things at TJ's and came back to the apartment and a bouncing basketball in the carport. But I soon settled in and listened to the radio for a bit to catch up on what was happening in Boston. Lots of people injured--the casualty count continues to rise.
I woke early this morning and I read more of the Richard Armour book It All Happened with Columbus. The book, one of his earliest focused on humorous content, is like a non-stop pun where he intentionally uses word play and such to create humorous copy. He wrote over 60 books--poetry, humor, classics, and more.
Watched a fairly new alien warfare movie this evening--Battle Los Angeles. It was a non-stop alien attack on the major world centers by a race of cyborg drones. A small, but resilient cadre of Marines and a few civilians take on the menace and manage (no surprise) to destroy the "brains" of the attack network through ingenuity, guts, and sheer improbable camera work. The film was not reviewed all that well, but it seemed to recoup its $70MM (mostly CGI) budget at the box office. It's probably better on the big screens, I presume! Go Marines!
G&B class tomorrow! I'm ready, teddy! After I hit the beady!
