I just unearthed a truly bizarre thing--RoboRoach--a do it yourself make your own cyborg that uses a live roach as the host for the electronics. The Yew and Yuck factors were pretty high as I watched a how to video that shows the way to perform the needed surgery to install the controlling elements. The controlling components are a mix of circuitry borrowed from cochlear implants and DBS devices. Strange world we live in--and getting more strange as the days go by.

Had a PD dance class this morning and did a resistance training session in the afternoon. Napped for a short spell after coming back from classes and then phased into my movie-watching ritual. Watched a film--My Week with Marilyn. It's a supposedly true event that took place when MM went to England to do a movie with Olivier. The story follows the trials she inflicted on the cast and crew, and a brief affair she had with a then young man of the crew. Michelle Williams does a major job of looking like and being like MM, which had to be a challenge since she was doing a movie within a movie all the time. The film sports a number of well known actors who helped keep the film rolling along. I was disappointed that the film wasn't more about MM's entire life, but I suppose that's already been done perhaps.

G&B class tomorrow! I feel good tonight (after today's classes and nap). But it's getting near the time for me to fold it up and head for the bed again. Will probably dream about RoboRoaches!
