Hot and heated day! Must have gotten to triple-digit temperatures in many places. The heat much have addled my brain. I left my wallet in the cafe where I went to ate lunch. Fortunately, I'm a regular customer and they just set the wallet aside until I came to see if that's where I'd left it. I wasn't sure--I thought I may have dropped it after leaving the cafe. But it was there--safe and sound. I gave the waiter a $10 tip. Needless to say, I was happy to recover it and not have to alert everyone that it was missing. Thank goodness for honest people! They made my day! I'm going to have to be more conscious regarding what I'm doing and such--I'm doing things that are not exactly normal for me to be doing!

Along the way today I'd started thinking about a walk I had made up the Stanford Dish a few years ago. I'd made the trek with someone whom I was taking the G&B class, but I couldn't remember who he was. There's a guy in the current classes who has some similar features but I knew it was not him--or at least I thought so. It was a brain freeze! I couldn't recall the guy's face or his name. After a few false starts, I was able to resurrect enough context from this blog's archives to help me recall who it was, when it was, and his name! I managed to abort my permanent present tense mode and reach back in time to reconstruct those memories. I don't think I would have managed to perform such a reconstruction without using the blog. I wonder though how much else is now smoke and vapors? Most of it all I'm afraid, most of it all!

Watched a film that I'd seen before (but couldn't recall details of)--Lincoln Lawyer. It's a crime mystery about a slick lawyer who gets sucked into a conspiracy by a brilliant sociopath. The lawyer finds that he has been set up to help the wacko get away with a crime that the wacko did commit. The lawyer manages to turn the tables on the wacko and get him convicted of an even more heinous crime. The puzzle-me component of the plot is heavy duty and kept me guessing (for a second time) of who was what and what was who in the piece. It's worth seeing a third time--but I won't right now!

Cooler tonight and for the next few days! Thank goodness! I'll try and not loose my wallet again. I guess I could get one of those chains and hook it to my belt. Whoa! It's late! Time to fade into the dream time mists!
