What went well today:
  • Paid major bills today. July begins tomorrow! Today's weather was pleasant with a bit of warming later in the day.
  • Movement class felt good. We focused more on dance movements and that was nice.
  • Picked up prescriptions. Went into the donut hole! I realized that I spend more each day on medications than I spend on food. Actually I've not been spending that much since the insurance has been picking up the tab. But now that I'm in the donut hole I will be spending that much. Strange, strange world!
  • Watched a film tonight--American Violet. It was a film based on real life events concerning a corrupt justice system in Texas and how they preyed on the black community. It was a predictable film but was done well.
  • Awoke last night around 2AM. Everything was still and quiet. I fell back asleep and almost slept through the morning.

What went well today:
  • PD gait and balance class felt good even though it left me zonked. It was good to be doing some moving, stretching and testing the limits. The five-day break from doing anything was noticeable. Have to keep up some regimen when classes are on hold.
  • Weather was cool for most of the day. Getting a bit warm in the afternoon now, but overall it was a good day.
  • Heading to the H's tonight for a movie or special.
  • Dreamed a set of dreams last night. First one was about being in a house with a woman and two kids. The kids were in an attached set of rooms that were not fully part of the house. There was some concern about them being so isolated, especially at night while they slept. I was talking with the woman and pointing out the vulnerability involved. A second dream was about being in a movement class. Each of us was being asked to perform a movement sequence of our choice. After we performed the sequence, the entire class did the sequence. The moving felt good.
  • Got my report from my medical group that summarizes how close I am to the "donut hole" in the coverage. I am close and it's only half way through the year. The new drug, Azilect, doubles my monthly drug costs. Will have to see what can be done. I ordered refills today and that will put me in the hole. Interesting!

What went well today:
  • Rain fell across the valley. Not exactly a deluge but a respectable wetness all the same. Helped knock the dust off of my truck.
  • No classes or events today. Quiet on the court! Slept in late and went out in the drizzle to get a nice warm meal (General's Chicken).
  • Watched a movie in the afternoon--Code Unknown. I had viewed this movie a few months ago but had no recollection of it when I picked up the DVD. Turned out I had watched it all the way through but had no memory of details until they reappeared on the screen. Strange world! My short term memory is getting more short term--perhaps nonexistent.
  • PD gait and balance session tomorrow. Feels like a long time since I did any movement (it's been five days).
  • Dreamed something about being in a group of people who were keeping secrets from each other. We each had a document that we wore when we were together. The document hung about our necks and was able to read and be read by someone standing before us who also had a document. There was some subterfuge going on where one of us was a "mole" and had infiltrated the group. The dream involved (over a couple of nights) our machinations to uncover (or hide) the mole. The activities were intricate and complex. It was like a giant puzzle where even I could not be certain that my actions were fully understood. That meant that any one of us could be the mole but not know for sure if that was the case.

What went well today:
  • Weather--again spectacular clearness and cooling breezes.
  • Awoke early and got ready to get out and about as the day unfurled.
  • Went to the H's and read the second chapter of Flaubert's Parrot. It is a brilliant piece of fiction--cleverly plotted and exquisitely done. Lots of humor but with foretastes of darker things to come. The prose contains many memorable excerpts and quotable materials.
  • Watched a noir film Blast of Silence. It's a short mystery/thriller that follows the actions of a gangster who is beginning to have second thoughts about what he does. He wrestles with his doubts as the inexorable action continues, leading to a more than likely bad end.
  • Dreamed about being with a group of people who were somehow not exactly real. I don't recall the dream details, but the mood of the dream was strange and eerie.
  • No PD dance class tomorrow. Can sleep as much as I can sleep.
  • Supposed to rain quite a bit. That will be refreshing.
  • It's quiet now. Still and quiet! As if the world has fallen into a reverie and the night wraps itself around everything.

3983

What went well today:
  • Good weather--got a bit warm in the last afternoon but was clear and temperate most of the day.
  • Slept in this morning. Went back to bed after breakfast (late) and then got out in early afternoon. Went to MV for a sandwich. Place I went, Romanza, is a bookstore with a cafe upstairs. When I arrived, the entire upper area had people sitting at all of the tables. Every person had a computer on the table. At some tables there were two people and two computers. It looked like a training class. Surreal!
  • Watched a movie, The Leopard, in the afternoon. I had seen this movie before but didn't catch that fact when I picked up the DVD. It didn't get better with age. I was surprised that I recalled as much of the film as I did this time around. There were several big scenes with dozens of people dancing in a castle setting. Had to be a major feat to film those sequences. Actors were in elaborate costumes (dresses, uniforms, tuxedos, and such, plus the servants). Burt Lancaster was the key actor. Film was shot in Italian with a special version created for the US market. So, it was dubbed in English and was about 20 minutes shorter than the European version.
  • Will be going to the H's tomorrow to read aloud from Flaubert's Parrot.
  • I've been hearing a strange bird whistle at night and in the mornings. As I stepped out today, I believe I glimpsed a parakeet or budgie flying overhead. Will keep looking to see if it's staying around the place.

3984

What went well today:
  • Great weather today! Not too hot with a goodly breeze!
  • Fire trucks are on the scene quickly--looks like a fire down the street.
  • Went to library and exchanged DVDs. Returned DVD for GH to MP library.
  • Watched an early English film in b/w--Odd Man Out. It was directed by Carol Reed. Story went on a bit too long, but for the most part it was a good film. Good use of b/w and shadows/darkness. Good action and chase scenes. Starred James Mason with an Irish accent (most of the time).
  • Dreamed over the past two nights that I was working as a contractor for a toy company. In the first dream, I was new to the team/project and I had to spend a lot of time learning protocols and procedures, and make myself familiar with their tools. I felt a bit slow on the uptake and got the impression that they weren't too happy with me. In the second dream (followup dream last night), I had moved myself off site and had hired some of my own people. We were doing quite well on developing designs and passing them along to the project team at the toy company. We were much more creative working away from their offices. It was a happy dream.
  • Slept in this morning and got out and about later in the afternoon.

3985

What went well today:
  • Sleeping in this morning since I had no classes.
  • Beautiful day today--weather was cooler.
  • Second dental process went smoothly. I have no discomfort or irritation where work was done. Hopefully, this set of procedures will stabilize my gum issues and set me up for less dental work.
  • Watched a movie, Passion Fish, this evening. The movie was well done and dealt with a woman who lost the use of her legs. The story was good but was drawn out a bit much. Had some good Zydeco music throughout.
  • Had some thoughts about what I need to be doing to get myself in motion. One thing is to just start things rolling--see what comes up and what transpires. Will do!

3986

What went well today:
  • Cooler day! Nice breeze kept everything cooled down.
  • Movement class was enjoyable. As always, the session helped me relax.
  • Had a tasty pulled pork sandwich from Printer's Inc. It's one of their specialties and is always filling and good. It's done on Dutch Crunch bread with avocado, black bean sauce, salsa, lettuce, tomato, mayonnaise, and more. I've been drinking a lot of liquids and have not been eating as much. It was good to pork out a bit!
  • Watched a film, Door in the Floor, this evening. It was an edgy film about a writer, his wife, their child and some secrets and mysteries surrounding how they lived and interacted. A young boy was brought in for the summer as an assistant to the writer. He became a lightning rod that triggered revelations and behaviors. The film had an undercurrent that promised some awful resolution. But all was revealed without any horrific actions. It was all done more psychologically.
  • I started to watch a film about Bob Dylan called I'm Not There. The little I watched seemed to imply that I'd have to put more energy into keeping up with the wacky storyline even though the music carried everything. Maybe tomorrow.
  • Have the followup dental procedure tomorrow. Looks like it will be a cool day. Will be good to be done with the dental work.

3987

What went well today:
  • PD gait and balance class went well. It was good to move and play as we did today.
  • Weather was cooler. Still very warm in late afternoon, but cooler than it's been.
  • Managed to nap in the afternoon even with the heat. Just parked under the fan and dropped away.
  • Watched a Swedish film with the H's tonight--You, the Living. It's not a horror or zombie film. It's a visually interesting film, but not exactly clear on what it was supposed to communicate. Not much of a plot and quite a bit of repetition. Used many non-professional actors in seemingly ad hoc or improvised vignettes. It has some good comic moments but the laughs don't outweigh the confusion.
  • Found gas that was below $4/gal.
  • Felt a space of time during gait and balance class where I felt awake, clear, still, and non-symptomatic. It just came on me as I sat listening to something the instructor was saying. May there be more such times!

3988

What went well today:
  • Summer Solstice! Longest day of the year.
  • Lots of sun! Got up to around 100 degrees today. Stayed close to places with AC.
  • PD dance class. Fair number of people showed up. The people are fun to be around.
  • Had an acupressure session. The room was cool so I drifted away and really relaxed. Next session will not take place until August. Have to let today's session last for 6 weeks!
  • At the grocery store, I noticed a woman who was using a walker. She was taking a long time to get money from her purse and was fumbling around. There were no others waiting in her checkout line so she just took as long as it took to do things. After she checked out, she started looking for a place to sit. I had just finished my food and I waited until she drew near and gave her my table. There was a bubble of relief that crossed her brow as she made for my abandoned table. She looked to be dealing with advanced PD symptoms. I seem to able to spot people with PD wherever I go. There are sure a lot of us!
  • Dreamed last night that I was in a house in a rural area. I have been in the house before in other dreams. There was some activity going on around the house that involved a group of people who lived up a side road that ran near the house. The people in the group were part of a motorcycle gang and there was some kind of ongoing problem with them. In another dream segment, I was walking down a street near some water. There was an older woman standing near the edge of a dock. Our eyes met and she started talking to me. She was asking some questions and making various comments. I was having a little trouble following her train of thought, but I managed to answer some questions and respond. She had bright blue eyes and silver hair pulled back in a bun. She looked like the woman I saw in the store this afternoon! Hmmm!
  • PD gait and balance in the morrow!
  • I've drank enough water, juice and soda to float a ship today!

3989

What went well today:
  • Went to the H's and we started reading Flaubert's Parrot by Julian Barnes. The first chapter was quietly funny and sets the stage for the rest of the novel.
  • Was good to get out today. It was much cooler outdoors even though the temperatures went into the 90s. The AC in the truck felt wonderful. My fan managed to get me through the afternoon. It's still warm and muggy tonight.
  • I drank like a camel today. Couldn't get enough of that watery stuff! Picked up some fruit drinks to help with the hydration.
  • Watched a Chinese film tonight--the River. It was a slow-paced, enigmatic work with little action. I ended up fast-forwarding through several parts. I also noticed that of the five films I picked up today, I had already seen two of them. I didn't recognize them by the cover art until I brought them home. I guess I've watched too many movies!
  • Didn't take a nap this afternoon. Felt like doing so for a while but it was too warm. Elected to sit under the fan until evening brought some relief.
  • Dreamed some dreams but nothing remains! Will dream again!
  • PD dance tomorrow and an acupressure session. Onward and onward!
  • RS of the men's team sent me a photograph of his new son. Congratulations R and S!

3990

What went well today:
  • Took GH for some errands. It was good to get out and about despite the warm weather.
  • Happy Father's Day to all and to all a good night.
  • Finished watching the completion of Moby Dick. Moby sure got his licks in at the end. Great shot of Ahab lashed to the whale's back, tied down by the lines from many harpoons.
  • Read through the Pinter pages that I'll read aloud to GH tomorrow. It was an exercise in vocabulary. Lots of words I had to look up--that I'd never seen before (vraisemblance for example).
  • Evening has started to cool down some. It was intensely sunny today.

3991

What went well today:
  • Did my laundry despite mob at laundromat. It was interesting that three other people from the apartment complex were there as well as another person that I know. Small world!
  • Had fish and chips for dinner. Tasty! I wanted something different for a change so went to Cook's Seafood. The place was doing a land office business. Lots of people taking their parents out for dinner. I also had a delicious mango/juice drink (Naked Juice). The cool drink helped bridge the warm afternoon that developed.
  • Started watching a film The River. Realized I had seen it before and didn't care to see it again. It is a slow-paced film about an English family living in India. The film is well done but not worth watching over and over. Switched to Moby Dick. It's an older version starring Gregory Peck. I didn't watch it all yet. I paused a bit over half way through. Will finish up in the morrow.
  • I noticed how tired I was after doing laundry today. I can't seem to do more than one thing before I have to climb back in bed and sleep. Can't seem to muster up any extra energy to take on my always growing "to-do" list.
  • Dreamed last night but didn't remember any of it.
  • Told GH that I'll take him to the MP library tomorrow.

Friday, June 17, 2011

3992

What went well today:
  • Cool morning; made sleeping in easy and quiet.
  • PD weight training session felt good today. I'm doing well with 10-pound dumbbells. Could probably move up to 15-pounds and keep going.
  • Turned warm in the afternoon. Had a cold smoothie after class. Tasted good!
  • Watched an older film, Thieves' Highway, about long haul truckers and the criminal elements that surrounded their operations. It was an OK film but nothing outstanding.
  • Laundry time tomorrow.
  • Keep going round and round with myself about breaking out of the malaise I'm in. Has to be someway to change the patterns I've adopted.
  • Dreamed about being in a house where everything had been removed. There were just empty rooms and hallways.

3993

What went well today:
  • Movement class--felt good and initiated some quietness
  • Full moon last night--It was huge and bright.
  • Acupressure session today felt great. I really grew quiet and still.
  • Slept well last night.
  • Dreamed a few nights ago that I was in a resort area. We were near the beach. We had a tent set up and were residing in the tent. At some point, there was either a hurricane or an earthquake. The event threw everything in chaos. Everything got tossed around. In some way, the people who owned the resort were able to grab everything that people had in their tents and got it stored in lockers. After the hurricane passed, we could go to the lockers and retrieve everything we owned. The dream went on and on and had many other parts.
  • No repercussions from yesterday's dental work. No pain! Yeah!
  • It was somewhat cooler today. It was really pleasant outdoors.

Wednesday, June 15, 2011

3994

What went well today:
  • Dental work went smoothly without any trauma or discomfort. Got some embedded antibiotics that are pushed into the pockets in the gum. The antibiotics releases over the next few days. Will see how it works.
  • Slept a lot today until dental work was done. Feeling heavy!
  • Watched the documentary about financial crisis and who made it happen. The film is called Inside Job and lays out everything that took place. It was an eye opener! In the film, they explain everything about credit default swaps. It makes sense now. Good film!
  • GH gave me some excerpts from a Pinter book to be used next Monday for our read aloud time.
  • Have an acupressure session tomorrow. I can use the session.
  • Full lunar eclipse tonight. Can't be seen from here but the moon came up huge and full.

Tuesday, June 14, 2011

3995

What went well today:
  • PD dance class was quite full and joyful today. There was an unusually large number of people who showed up.
  • Watched a documentary film Constantine's Sword. It is a history of how the cross and the sword have been used together to wield power and control. It's a bit choppy but has some very interesting facts and figures as well as historical verifications.
  • Had no episodes of redness/flushing today. Good news! No clarity as to why but I'll take it.
  • Had a tasty lunch (General's Chicken).
  • May have napped briefly in my chair today. It was too warm to climb back in bed in the afternoon.
  • Have a dental procedure tomorrow--deep scaling. First of two sessions! Healthy teeth and gums here I come!

Monday, June 13, 2011

3996

What went well today:
  • Beautiful day!
  • Slept well last night and this morning (and with nap in the afternoon).
  • Finished the Ishiguro book that I've been reading aloud to GH! 500 pages! We read about a chapter a week (about 35 chapters).
  • Watched a SciFi thriller film called Next. It dealt with a man who could see ahead a few minutes from his current time. It allowed him to perform "magic" feats. The government wanted to use him to help locate and retrieve a hidden nuclear weapon. The movie was well done and kept the action going. Nicolas Cage was the man in the film who could see the future.
  • PD dance class begins again tomorrow. Looking forward to moving!

Sunday, June 12, 2011

3997

What went well today:
  • Got final lab test results requested by endocrinologist. It was within norms. So, that does it! I'm in perfect health based on all of the tests they ran. The redness/flushing is most likely a side effect from my medication. Perhaps, something to do with wearing off since it seems to happen mostly around midday--about the time my first dose begins to wear off. Can do some mini-experiments with moving my dosages around to see if I can verify the triggers.
  • Watched a movie this afternoon--John Rabe. It was about a German man who was in charge of a Siemens' power plant in Nanking, China. He helped save many Chinese when Nanking was invaded by Japan. The movie told his story. It was sort of a Chinese version of Schindler's List.
  • Also watched a movie with Jack Nicholson called the King of Marvin Gardens. It was a wacky film with Nicholson playing a wacky character among others who were wacky. For about the first one-third of the film, I was unsure what things were about and where it all was going. The last two-thirds of the film got clearer about what was happening, but the action and dialog was awful. There are some strange movies out in the world.
  • Bumped into a couple that I once knew several years ago. It was pleasant to talk with them and catch up some.
  • Slept a lot in the morning. It felt good to just roll over and sleep.
  • Went out for a late meal, which was tasty, an didn't have much of a redness/flushing episode after the meal. Had some redness/flushing around midday while I was napping.
  • Dreamed last night that I was in a sports arena. I had taken several bundles that we had brought in with us and stashed them under various seats. I was there to do something in and around the halftime celebrations.
  • Go the H's tomorrow for the book reading we are doing. Coming to the end of the book! All will be revealed!

Saturday, June 11, 2011

3998

What went well today:
  • The weather was beautiful today. Some wind but really nice.
  • It was quiet today--the horde of kids were elsewhere.
  • I slept in this morning and went back to sleep after a late breakfast. Went out for a late midday meal.
  • Watched one movie that I'll never have to see again. It was Blue Velvet--a dumb, gratuitous, poorly written thriller that was ultimately just dumb.
  • Also watched a Czech film, Give My Love to the Swallows, which I realized once it started that I had seen it before. It's a sad film about a woman who is imprisoned during the Nazi invasion. It uses her flashbacks and flash forwards to weave the tale of how she was treated and ultimately put to death. It's an intriguing film but sad.
  • I dreamed last night that I was an envoy to a South American country. The dream was set in a past time before any modernization or industrialization. The initial interactions when I landed on their shores was a combination of ritual and performance. The person that met me was clothed in gold armor. I was holding a bundled gift that was wrapped in gold cloth. I was supposed to throw the bundle to the person in gold armor. He was to catch it and welcome me into their domain. We managed to exchange that opening action and their warriors step aside to allow us to enter.
  • In a second part of the dream, which took place some time after the initial landing, I was at the home of the leader of the country. He had prepared a feast in our honor. He was a genial host who kept prompting us to eat and drink. He kept the servants busy bringing forth dish after dish and making sure our goblets were filled. At one point, there was a performance of some sort planned for the attendees and we retired to the amphitheater. Meanwhile, late arriving guests were being welcomed and encouraged to move on to the performance. It was a gala event. As the envoy to their region, I felt welcomed and at ease.

3999

What went well today:
  • Dreamed last night that I was in a house with a bunch of people. My daughter came by. She had been out of town. She had moved to Butte, MT for some reason, but had just moved back. There were a lot of conflicting elements in the dream. She had come by to ask for help with a camper that they were assembling. They were mounting a frame onto a pickup truck. The frame didn't fit exactly onto the bed of the truck. They wer having to modify it so that it did fit. Meanwhile, back in the house there seemed to be an undercurrent of tension that was overlaying everything that was being done. At one point, the camper had been attached to the truck and they were driving off. There was an instance when their daughter was shown sitting in a plastic bubble at the front of the truck. Whew! What a dream!
  • Went to PD weight lifting class today. Weather was great and it felt good pumping the weights. We had a good sized class. Instructor wants to add a day. Hope he does!
  • Got a call from MF. She had seen a PD dance story and wanted to tell me about it. EF is dealing with dementia and that's giving her some concern. It sounds like he's fading in/out but is still doing music. She's still working on her reading program. Some things never change. It was good to hear from her.
  • Got the results of the blood tests that were done. All is well! My readings are nearly all within norms. Made me feel good to know that I'm physically (systemically) healthy. Still having to deal with tiredness and such, but my body is working. Just want to get back to being able to think better and have increased stamina.
  • When I was at the grocery store there were two teenagers goofing around outside. One was dancing and moving to the music being piped from the store. She looked so happy and joyful that I couldn't help but laugh and smile. I felt joyous watching her.

4000

What went well today:
  • Liver panel results are all within limits. I did some research through all of the posts I've recorded, looking for instances when I noted redness/flushing. Discovered that I had a two-month period last year (3/10-4/10) where I noted episodes. Then a 10-month period of silence that was terminated in 2/11 of this year. Ten months without an episode! And now they're back with nothing seemingly out of kilter. Is a puzzlement!
  • Movement class today. Felt good and triggered a long nap late in the afternoon. I felt so relaxed! Good to have the instructor back from her trip to Australia.
  • Watched a documentary tonight--Protagonist. It's the "hero's journey" stories of four men who pushed the envelope of their lives to the limit, had major breakdowns, and found wisdom as they came back from the abyss. The human spirit is amazing!
  • This week's interactions with the medical system went smoothly. I came away from it all with the sense that I'm healthier than I suspect. Makes me wonder if I can still somehow turn the corner--get up and dance!
  • Had dreams last night but don't recall the details.

Wednesday, June 08, 2011

4001

What went well today:
  • Busy day! Felt good to stay busy!
  • Went to PD gait and balance class. We did relaxing exercises (yoga) and some movement.
  • Had a tasty midday meal (General's Chicken). Had some but diminished redness/flushing.
  • Had blood taken for a liver panel and to test for calcitonin (a thyroid hormone). The second test item was added after I talked with an endocrinologist. She, after hearing my long story, said that it looks like I may be reacting to my PD medication (Stalevo). It makes sense! The flushing and redness began around the time I increased my dosage from two to three pills per day. I'll look back through my notes but I think she hit on the head.
  • Went to the H's for movie night tonight. We watched a not-so-good-film Welcome to the Dollhouse. We also watched a DVD of G's Kaddish performance. The performance was totally absorbing and grabbing. It's a great piece of work!
Getting late! Movement class in the morrow! Adieu!

4002

What went well today:
  • Got note from PCP re next steps regarding redness/flushing (which was moderate today). She wants to do a liver panel (blood work) and is sending me to an endocrinologist to see what they might suggest.
  • Dreamed last night but don't recall any details. It was a good dream as far as I can remember.
  • Made a trip to TJ's today and stocked up on water--I've been drinking a lot more than I usually drink.
  • Had a turkey melt sandwich today with potato salad. Didn't seem to trigger redness/flushing too badly.
  • Went to the park and sat for a while this afternoon. There was a nice breeze and things were green and lush.
  • Looking forward to PD gait and balance class tomorrow.
  • Looking forward to climbing in bed tonight and reading.
Silent night right now! A respite from the noise that's usually present!

4003

What went well today:
  • There was a light rain and not the deluge that was predicted.
  • I slept in some this morning.
  • Went to the H's for lunch and a chapter of Ishiguro. Coming to the end of the book and the pace of the narrative is accelerating.
  • Went to the library and exchanged DVDs. Saw JV-R there and said hello.
  • Sent a note to my PCP regarding flushing/redness (which was lighter today) and asked her what is the next step(s).
  • Went to the dentist to set up deep scaling appointments. Glad I went since the estimates I received I had not read properly. It's going to cost more than I thought the estimates said. Glad to know that up front. Glad I can afford to have the work done.
  • I got hungry in the late afternoon so I went out for a bite.
  • Dreamed last night but don't recall the details. I think it had to do with people.
  • No PD dance tomorrow--gives me a free day--perhaps to see the PCP and take a walk.
  • Remembered another person from my theater school days--JS. Amazing how his name popped into my head! I haven't been able to find anything about him on the Internet, yet.

4004

What went well today:
  • Had some nice rain, mostly in the early morning. Clear, cool day otherwise.
  • Slept well and slept in a bit this morning.
  • Went for a walk in the local park. Walking felt good and smooth.
  • Had a tasty midday meal of brown rice and lemon chicken.
  • Went downtown to pick up mail.
  • It was a quiet day around the apartments; kids were gone most of the day.
  • Had a fairly mild episode of redness and flushing

4005

What went well today:
  • Slept well last night and this morning.
  • Had several rain showers last night and today. Cleared the air! More on its way!
  • Did laundry without any major issues. Laundromat was not very crowded.
  • Ate a mix of foods today. In a way, I sort of browsed my way through the day.
  • Watched the movie Network. Powerful film! Really well done! Lumet, the director has a host of movies that he's done. On the DVD, there was an informative interview of Lumet that covered his career and his techniques.
  • I started going through my piles of stuff and throwing unnecessary items away. The time has come--to work my way through the debris that's all around me.
  • Dreamed last night that I was in a house with a group of criminals. I was with a woman. She and I were criminals as well. Up to that point none of us had done anything that was too bad. But some of the members of the group were planning on expanding to bigger crimes. The woman and I went to the police (FBI) and became informants. We went back to the house and confronted the others on what they were planning. In the process, we revealed that we had gone to the FBI and that we'd all be better off abandoning the plans we had made. There was a few tense moments as our announcement was absorbed. As a group, we decided to abandon any plans we had made and live peacefully. It was a happy ending!
  • Saw BP today while at the Laundromat.

What went well today:
  • Awoke a little later than usual--I was sleeping well and just kept on doing so.
  • Went to PD weight training class. It felt good to lift the weights and exercise.
  • Watched a Dutch film, Memory of a Killer. It was a tense thriller of a film with several interwoven plots and subplots. The killer in the film was an aging hit man who is given a job to kill a young girl. He decides he won't do such a job and ultimately goes after the people who tried to hire him. He is older and plagued by Alzheimer's disease, both of which don't keep him from causing mayhem.
  • Weather was brisk today.
  • Ate lightly today (still had episodes of flushing/redness).
  • Dreamed last night that I was sitting with friends in a huge soccer stadium. We sat far away from the main action but could follow what was happening. As we sat around on the grass, I discovered a buried piece of metal. It was L-shaped and had tacks or staples along one side that helped hold it in the turf. I pulled on one end of it that I had uncovered, and stripped a section out of the dirt. Several of us did the same to other pieces that we found. By the end of the game, we had piles of the strips rolled into loops and piled up for transport. A strange, mechanical dream!
Plan on doing laundry tomorrow and dance in the coming rains!

What went well today:
  • PD dance demonstration went well today. I did my part well and it felt good.
  • A neighbor knocked on the door early this morning. Her car wouldn't start. Despite my tight schedule, I gave her a boost. It was tense since her battery didn't have the posts marked. Had to guess and fortunately we guessed correctly.
  • Made it back to movement class after the PD dance demo. It was tight but I made it almost on time.
  • Napped in the late afternoon after grabbing some food. I conked out for several hours.
  • Watched a German film Jerichow this afternoon. It was a well done film--a thriller based on a love triangle. Some of the director's other movies look interesting.
  • Had some scattered dreams last night. Can't recall details.
Had an episode of flushing/redness after eating the midday meal. PD weight training tomorrow.

What went well today:
  • Watched movie "Happiness" tonight at the H's. I'd seen the film about two years ago so I didn't remember much about it until it started playing. Still has segments that are difficult to sit through but it's a masterful work. The action in the film is edgy and absorbing. The colors used throughout the film are bright and mesmerizing. It was a good film to watch with several people--lets you really laugh out loud in the funny parts. The not so funny parts (stalking, rape, murder, pedophilia, drugs, and more) makes you think about things.
  • Had a tasty lunch at the Thai place.
  • Napped in the late afternoon.
  • Had somewhat milder episode of redness/flushing after eating.
  • Weather was mixed today but nice overall.
  • Looking forward to PD dance class demonstration tomorrow.
Up in the morning! Out on the job! Dancing with the lucky old sun!
